Jon Feutchwanger
Jon is 56 and came to the village when he was 19 years old. He has been here for 37 years. Jon has multiple disabilities. He is a very private person and enjoys his own company. He communicates by using a lightwriter and a little sign language.
He is very creative and often enters for the most talented needlecraft student at the local college that he attends. He exhibits with main stream students He is looking forward to winning one day. He loves cooking and has a job working in the main kitchen in the Village, helping to prepare vegetables. He is looking forward to getting a job in the community, so he can develop his skills.
Last year, he joined the international bike ride in Israel. This also gave him the opportunity of meeting up with his sister Judith, who lives in Israel. It was a wonderful time, and he was so proud to receive his medals. Jon is very lucky, as it does not matter how much he eats, he never puts on weight.
In the summer when he is not at evening school he enjoys lying in his hammock, and chilling out listening to the birds. His hobbies also include trains and music.
