Lawrence Black
Lawrence is 55 and came to the Village when he was
11years old. He has lived here for 44 years. Lawrence
has multiple disabilities but has never let that hold him
back. He is a true sportsman, taking part in the Special
Olympics and International Bike Rides. He has travelled
all over the world and loves the adventure and the
opportunity to mix with all the riders.

He is a huge Arsenal Fan and he never misses a match.
Lawrence is the first person ever from the village to be
selected for the special Olympic Great Britain Squad. This
September he will be taking part in the European Athletic
games in Warsaw, Poland. Not only will he be competing
in running events he will be throwing the shot put.
This is an incredible achievement and Laurence is only
one of 7 male athletes to have been picked to represent
Great Britain.

Lawrence spends some of his free time surfing the net,
reading up on Arsenal, and finding things about his
favourite films, such as Batman.
Lawrence is very sociable and loves meeting new people.
He has a great sense of humour.
